DCHR Employee Wellness Campaigns
The DC Department of Human Resources (DCHR) Annual Employee Wellness Campaigns, in partnership with trusted health providers, aim to enhance employee health and well-being through key initiatives. These include biometric health screenings for early detection, rewards for participation, flu shot clinics to prevent illness, and wellness challenges to promote physical activity. These campaigns are crucial for improving workforce health, and boosting morale, all while fostering a culture of wellness within the District.
I lead the marketing and communications for all Employee Wellness Program Campaigns. My process begins with identifying the campaign's objectives and employee needs, followed by developing engaging visuals, a comprehensive marketing strategy, and a detailed communication timeline. This includes managing District-wide email campaigns, creating digital and print graphics, and designing and launching web pages on the DCHR website. I collaborate closely with the DCHR Chief Wellness Officer and health providers to refine designs, oversee production, and ensure alignment with DCHR leadership and the Joint Information Center (JIC) approval processes. Post-launch, I assess campaign effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement. This approach has significantly increased employee participation and engagement, contributing to the achievement of the Aetna Gold Winner Workplace Well-Being Award.
